Dear Fellow Patriots, We are careful not to be a political organization but after the elections of last week it does appear clear that a large number of Americans are reevaluating the ugly social upheaval that has caused such loss and consternation in our nation. That’s a good thing! The Virginia Council firmly believes that the principles of our founders, the great Virginians from our past and our remarkable shared history give the world excellent guidance for the future. In Virginia- we truly are a special people alive in a special place. For 400-plus years the expansion and influence of Western civilization has been perfected right here on our shores. It’s not a tidy or perfect or easy history but it’s one that tells the stories of remarkable thinkers and bold leaders and hard workers and resilient souls. It tells the story of wealth and poverty, war and peace, great risks with crushing consequences and bold new ideas with soaring rewards. And taken in total, it tells the story of a God ordained assemblage of people miraculously brought together to create what has become the most successful and free society in human history. I believe we should be proud of this grand story and should stand in awe as we study and honor the men and women who- through the centuries- have given us our own moment in 2024 to perfect ourselves and our own fleeting time on earth. While others wallow in anger and seemingly self-loathing pontification as they rewrite, deceive, and manipulate, we are leading the cause of intellectual study, informed debate, and civilized action. And it’s good to see our positive influence grow. As we prepare for 2025, we are contemplating how best to expand our mission and outreach, to share our history with more citizens to spotlight more people who have been sidelined and to amplify intelligent and impactful voices that have most recently been silenced. YOU can help! Please step up as a volunteer activist, attend our exclusive events or join us as a donor. (Link here) Together let’s craft a chapter in the newest history books that will honor our ancestors, bestow blessings on our children and inspire the next generation of Virginians as well.
