News from The Virginia Council 10/19/25

Dear friends and citizens,

Large crowds this weekend exercised their First Amendment right to assemble against an imaginary concern: that we are ruled by a king. The fact that they were able to do so obviously belies their concerns.
And a museum in Los Angeles, an institution ostensibly dedicated to the true, the beautiful, and the good, has perverted its purpose with a show that “deconstructs” Civil War sculptures and monuments. As usual for modern artists the explanations for the butchered remains of the Stonewall Jackson statue are a jumble of incomprehensible left wing historical revisionism and invented societal grievances.
What these things have in common is the subversive left still acting as if they have the support and good will of the majority of the American people. The days of tactics and behaviors that previously cowed people into accepting the unacceptable are over. The Left and their more radical fellow travelers have not come to grips with the rejection of their illiberal goals and ambitions. While mouthing the words of the Declaration and the Bill of Rights their actions reveal goals that would twist and destroy these pillars of our society. Just as they have with relics that affront their interpretation of history.
They can't create objects of beauty and truth while their philosophies are incapable of building societies of equality, liberty, and peace. They condemn the Founders, especially Jefferson and Madison who created the system which gives them a voice. It is up to all of us who treasure the jewels of western civilization to speak out in support of its achievements and empowerment of the individual. We owe it to those who built this country and to those generations to come.
Sincerely,

Treat yourself to a night of witty humor and pointed commentary from Kyle Mann, editor-in-chief of the hilarious Babylon Bee. Cancel culture has come for the comedians, and no one knows this better than the Bee, which has had dozens of articles censored, fact-checked, and deleted.
Why is there such an attack on comedy? It's because those in power hate being exposed, ridiculed, or shamed. Join us for an evening of laughter as Kyle speaks truth to power through the medium of satire.

Before and After:
This is what we are fighting against

“For the new exhibit, Jackson and his horse have been cut into pieces – “butchered”, in the words of co-curator Hamza Walker, into shank and round and rump – and then put back together to form a disjointed monster. The beast-man rears into the air, spare limbs flailing. Each detail is disturbing: the rider’s legs dangle backwards, with broken toes. His faceless head is perched on the beast’s snout. A clenched fist has tumbled to the ground.”

Help us to stop the further destruction and degredation of our historic past today!
Help us fight for an honest, legal process to determine
the fate of these historic pieces of art from Richmond.
Decisions made by the mob are not a democratic process,
but tyrannical.
There have been some victories, but Virginia's monuments and history are still at risk of being erased.
