News from The Virginia Council 4/20/25

Dear friends,

In recent days we have witnessed the continued acknowledgement and celebration of some of the oldest religious traditions in human history.

The timeline of our society is not just one off historical events,  it’s a continuum of values and beliefs and there’s a reason that people who lived hundreds of years ago would not know much about our modern lives but would recognize these holy days and how we celebrate and honor them.

At the Virginia Council we respect these beliefs and traditions and hope to encourage our people to honor and preserve the best of our cultural heritage.

The most important values transcend time and we would be wise to pay close attention to the lessons of our ancestors and the collected wisdom of millennia as revealed in the word of God.

May you and your family enjoy a blessed and happy Easter.

The former Governor of Virginia, and former Mayor of Richmond, Doug Wilder informed and entertained The Virginia Forum audience on Tuesday night. He elucidated his current perspective on ‘the Virginia Way’ of governance in light of its past promises and failures. In a string of personal stories that bridged the time from his U.S. Army service in the Korean War up to his critiques of city and state finances, Governor Wilder educated and entertained the Forum attendees.
